- Navigate 3.1.2 Creation and Investigation into Courses Quest
After selecting and downloading a trial LMS, create a course shell and make note of the various tools available. Then, select content to upload to the course shell. While the content loads, note the steps completed to fully load the package and make it viewable. What were those steps? Is it important to follow these steps? Write a description of the experience in your blog.
As a SME, Subject Matter Expert, I created a course shell for GAVS (along with the development team). I was responsible for writing all the content, planning the learning activities to be created by the development team, preparing the powerpoints and voice over script that would be used in the course. I also created all the discussions, quizzes, and tests. It was my responsibility to organize the QL, question library, in a way that was meaningful and easy to use should the content of the course change. This was different that how the original course was set up. It had multiple folders with the same name, codes that no longer made sense, and the questions were not viewable easily. In order to create this shell, it took countless hours. In my opinion, it is the equivalent of writing a book.
