Discuss the experiences with this quest and the process of recording a session. Was the task easy? Challenging? Did the process present problems? Document the responses and general reflections on synchronous learning and the recorded session in your blog.
As a current teacher with GAVS I already record my synchronous sessions. I began using Elluminate and now use Adobe Connect. I prepare my powerpoints ahead of time and load them in to Adobe Connect. Then I can annotate over them, solving problems with the students as I go. If I only have a few students in the session, I like to give them rights to draw on the screen and solve problems along with me. I post all these videos (from previous semesters as well) so that students have access to them beyond the live session. These recordings can be found here: http://mcapchem.weebly.com/sls-recordings.html
I am interested in learning more about other options to record my lessons outside of the synchronous sessions as well. I would post these as extra help on difficult topics. This would allow me to use any platform I chose. One that a colleague recommended to me was Explain Everything.
