Please identify ten instructional sites, and isolate five sites which exemplify sound design ideals and five that do not adhere to these standards and document in your blog.
Sound Design

I thought this one was well laid out and organized on the initial page. It had the subjects divided and eye catching icons for each sub-subject.
http://mcapchem.weebly.com/
I am bias here, as this is my website. But, I think I did a good job of organizing the information on the left hand side and dividing the modules to make it easy for the kids to find specific resources for each topic.
http://www.sciencegeek.net/APchemistry/APtaters/directory.shtml
I like how this one is organized. Each major topic in chemistry is listed, with subtopics below. Each subtopic links to problems that relate to that specific topic. Great one!
http://www.gpb.org/education
I like the colors. It is bright, but also still simple. There is a lot of information on the pages, but it isn't overcrowded. I can easily find what I am looking for.
http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/chemistry
Not only does this site have excellent resources for simulations, it is also well organized and laid out in a pleasing manner. It is easy to find resources by topic and even by level.
Do Not Adhere to Standards
http://www.coolmath-games.com/
I think this could be better organized to benefit the learner. I would have it divided by subject, rather than by New, Featured, and Popular. I find the colors a bit jarring.
http://www.sciencegeek.net/APchemistry/APtaters/directory.shtml
This is a great site, but the layout is not great for my students. Since we don't use the same text, the chapter numbers don't mean anything to us. If you dig deep enough, you can find the material you are looking for, however.
https://chemfiesta.wordpress.com/
This one isn't terrible, but it is hard to find information you are looking for.

The font is way too small. There is too much blank space in each cell. I like the idea of the squares, but the layout itself isn't working for me.
http://danreid.wikispaces.com/
This is another one with too much white space. The info is too spread out and hard to find. I don't find the colors pleasing to look at either. It does have a search feature which is always nice when the layout isn't pleasant!
